DayZ Standalone version delay explained

After the horrific launch of The WarZ, it's no suprise that DayZ creator Dean Hall is being a lot more cautious with the launch of his own survival zombie MMO. He explains that DayZ will not just be a slightly improved version of the ARMA II mod, but the team is redeveloping the engine to make the game of their dreams. With a closed beta on the horizon that will be limited to 500-1000 players, the team will only then decide on a release date.
