running alot of players off before they even launch the game.....pay to win, no skill needed, just buy the best stuff and dominate without trying.....so much for buying this one

I think the majority of gamers don't care and D3 will still launch with well over a million pre-orders.

Only two benefits can come from this:

1) less hacking of accounts, due to third party gold-selling sites being made obsolete.

2) Blizzard pockets a good amount of the profit from those site's new way of selling gold. Oh, and from every other cash-funded transaction.

The idea of progression is now shot. Hacking items will still exist, because now it will be about not wanting to spend money to get the items, in addition to the traditional time investment hackers try to skip.

Those who have nothing better to spend money on will dominate, others will scramble behind and get smashed in any kind of pvp.

Those looking to capitalize on this by farming items will be disappointed, because the traditional gold-sellers are used to working for cheap pay. They will always undercut the AH and steal away the majority of sales because of it.

I'm shocked they are doing this. It will be interesting to see how things turn out, and how many problems players have with scamming, account stealing, and even getting their money from Blizzard. Blizzard is just taking a cut from gold farmers is all it seems like.
